Are you part of a school, church or other organization looking for a field trip destination or an extended learning experience for youth? Camp TaPaWingo provides several programs catered to specific age groups all with a focus on nature, learning and fun.

Outdoor Discovery Grades K-2

Youth OutdoorsSeveral unique nature-based programs are available for children aged Kindergarten through Grade 2. Our programs provide a great hands-on way to bring environmental consciousness into the classroom.

Choose four programs for a full-day, or two programs for a half-day of adventure and fun at Camp TaPaWingo.  Programs Include:

  • Tree Detectives
  • Scavenger Arts & Crafts
  • Fish Printing
  • Leaps and Bounds (Tracking)
  • Bug Hunters
  • Feathered Friends

Outdoor Education Grades 3-5

Youth CrayfishingBuild skills with several unique nature-based programs available for children Grades 3-5. Our programs provide a great hands-on way to bring environmental consciousness alive and teach exciting outdoor skills.

Select four programs for a full-day of activities, or two programs for a half-day of adventure at 4-H Camp TaPaWingo. Programs Include:

  • Compass Course
  • Team Building
  • Nature Journaling
  • Fishing/Crayfishing

  • Archery

Outdoor Skills Grades 6-8

Youth Outdoor SurvivalAdvanced environmental education designed for older youth!

Multiple programs are available for youth in Grades 6 through 8 where learning occurs when youth directly interact with and experience nature. They learn the environment commands respect and yet it is possible to live harmoniously with our natural surroundings.

Select four programs for a full-day of activities, or two programs for a half-day of adventure at 4-H Camp TaPaWingo. Programs Include:

  • Fire Building
  • Shelter Building
  • Outdoor Cooking
  • Map & Compass
  • Nature Journaling
  • Archery

Indoor Educational Programming

Several unique nature-based programs are available for school-aged children and youth (Kindergarden through Grade 8) without having to be outside. These programs are particularly well-suited for Wisconsin’s inclement winters. These structured activities provide a great hands-on way to bring environmental studies into the classroom when it may be impractical to be physically out in nature.

Choose four programs for a full-day, or two programs for a half-day of adventure and fun at Camp TaPaWingo. Programs Include:

  • Ants and Other 6 Legged Insects
  • Compass Introduction
  • Map and Compass
  • Groundwater
  • Soils
  • Team Building
  • Tree Detectives (Each student will go home with a Tree Detectives vest. Additional $2.50 per student.)
  • Leaps and Bounds (Tracking)
  • Mammals of Wisconsin
  • Adaptations — Beavers
  • Skull Investigation

  • Birds of Prey
  • Owls
